Treatment!!

VEX

For my media studies coursework I am completing three parts as part of a music magazine. The three parts consist of a front cover, contents page and double page spread. My magazine is a political music magazine which is basically music that is spoken word. The target audience that I my magazine Is aimed at are late teens, so 16-20 year olds.

The gender is 100% males, you can tell that from the way the front cover is completed. The locations that I picked for the pictures was a plain white wall outside and then two or three pictures are taken against a brick wall. The ones that are against a brick wall can be blended, so that’s nothing to worry about. The character that I chose was my male friend, I chose him because I knew he would be able to position him self for the pictures as I wanted him to be.
Also the type of dress sense he has was easier too and therefore made my job a lot easier. The reason why I say this is because I know the way he dresses and I won’t really have to tell him what to wear or how to dress because he already dresses in that particular way. To take my pictures I only needed one person I could’ve chosen to have a few people but I wanted to just stick to one.

We didn’t need any props for the pictures so it was all quite straightforward. I took lots of images, but haven’t yet decided which ones I’m going to include where. But a medium shot has to be used for my front cover, then for my contents page another medium shot and then tiny miniature pictures towards the bottom of the page just to make it look a bit different and less boring. For my double page spread I haven’t made my decision but will probably decide when I come to actually finishing it off.
My double page spread is going to be an interview with a rapper who uses spoken word to express things in a political way. The questions are finished but just need to add a few more questions to make it up to a maximum of ten questions. They are about how he got into music, the religious and political side to it etc. Health and safety notes aren’t really essential because we didn’t go on a far location, we were close to home so there was nothing really to take into account regarding safety issues.
