Short film codes and conventions

Channel 4- Trebla

The codes and conventions of this short film that was shown on channel 4 are:
*It clip that i analysed lasted less than 45minutes.
*It was a fictional kind of documentary. It was filmed on in the diegetic world in an alley way, and real people who have experienced and seen people who are living rough and taking drugs etc.
*This short film was not animated but was live action i could tell this from the lights and camerawork, the realism was totally met and this way the audience are likely to pay more attention because real life people are sharing their knowledge about the way people live these days such as living on drugs and stuff. In my jdgement the theme that is acknowledged in this short film is the thoughts and lifestyles of youg teenagers in the streets of London today. To me i think this film is made by students or aspiring film makers because the theme relates to the student age range. It's also a calling card from the makers of the film to the film industry. I could say there's a slight bit of a monologue in this short film but it isn't because there are two different voices, but maily one voice will be talking for longer that's may be why i think it could be named as a monologue. I'd say to make and enhance this video it was cheap. The reason why i say this is because a special scene or setting wasn't needed. The location was there already because it was in the diegetic world. No extra costs were needed, jus the equipment and the people taking part in the film were needed.
