Question 7This is to be done in a 45 second voice/video file. You will work in a pair and record each other; if you would rather not be filmed then you can work alone and complete an audio recording. You must answer the question, so please discuss:
Knowledge about software from prelim task to final
Knowledge about magazine conventions from prelim to final
Importance of planning and drafting from prelim to final
Importance of feedback from others in helping you create your final ideas.

When we were set the task to complete a college magazine on the 2 software’s, I was really confused because I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it. But as soon as I started my actual project I was really good and have improved so much. I’m actually quite surprised to how much I have picked up and learnt in a short period of time using the 2 pieces of software.

While I was doping my college magazine I did not know about the codes and conventions of an actual magazine and how it will help me to do my actual one. When I started my actual piece of project work most of the time I had a magazine in front of me and copied it and wherever certain types of text and barcodes and price labels were etc I did the same. My magazine must look like a real magazine that’s the whole point of having a real one to look at.

I found it really easy when I did my drafts then I was able to relate to them when I did my actual magazine. I just had to decide about the colours and text etc. So yes I found it quite easy.

The feedback that I got from my class mates for my front cover was that the colours that I used on my front cover were really good and mixed in together. My main medium front cover image was very striking
